☐ Register for the directory
The Lafayette directory is invaluable for making connections between families. Please register, if you haven’t already, and update your students’ grades and class assignments. Encourage new families you meet to add their info as classwide lists are compiled.
☐ Save the date for upcoming events
Be sure to mark your calendar for Welcome Back Coffee (8/25), Outdoor Movie Night (9/20) and the Fall Festival (10/25). You’ll soon be able to view and subscribe to a combined HSA and school calendar on the HSA website.
☐ Explore HSA volunteer activities
There are HSA committees and volunteers behind all our beloved Lafayette traditions – with opportunities matched to your schedule and skillset. Fill out the form on our website to start getting involved and look for the Room Parent sign-up coming soon.
☐ Pay your class activity fee
The class activity fee ($125 for PK-4th and $215 for 5th) covers field trip admission and transportation and field day t-shirts. We collect fees upfront to avoid multiple requests.
☐ Donate to the Bear Fund
The Bear Fund is Lafayette’s annual giving campaign, which provides enrichment and activities not covered by DCPS (estimated at $400/student). You’ll learn more later in the school year, but please consider making a donation. Any amount is appreciated!
