Year-Round Enrichment with Active Play
Active Play offers enrichment classes at Lafayette throughout the year on a four-season schedule: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
Enrichment programs are offered on every full day that DCPS is in session, beginning on the very first day of the school year. This provides students with consistent opportunities to stay active, engaged, and learning all year.
- The Fall 2026 season runs August 24–October 30.
- The Winter season runs November 2 – January 22
- The spring season runs January 25 – March 26
- The summer season runs March 29 – June 15

Families may choose from the following enrollment options:
• One-Hour Enrichment (3:30–4:25 p.m.) – Student dismissal is at 4:30 p.m.• One-Hour Enrichment + Extended Day (3:30–5:30 p.m.) – Students attend enrichment from 3:30–4:25 p.m., followed by Active Play Extended Day until 5:30 p.m. Dismissal is at 5:30 p.m.• Two-Hour Enrichment (3:30–5:30 p.m.) – Students participate in a two-hour enrichment program. Dismissal is promptly at 5:30 p.m.
