Hands raised for volunteering
School is back and so is the morning drop-off line! Every day — rain or shine — volunteers staff this line, allowing parents and caregivers to drop kids at Lafayette’s Northampton Street doors (driving west from 33rd) anytime from 8:25am until the doors close at 8:40am. (No parking on Northampton during this time.) Volunteers open car doors, and students from grades K-5 should be ready to hop out and head into the building. To help serve as many cars as possible, children who are able should unbuckle and hand their bags to the volunteers as they exit. Stay tuned for opportunities to volunteer for this special Lafayette perk! Parents from each grade take turns to volunteer on a monthly basis. So one month, it will be 1st grade parents and the next month, 2nd grade parents and so on. Sign up here!
