Dear Lafayette Families –
The countdown to summer is officially on!
A huge shout out and thanks to our incredible arts team for 3 terrific Arts Nights in May. They were outstanding evenings of art and community. Thank you to Mr. Brockman, Ms. Perll, Ms. Gemar, Ms. McLaughlin, and all the teachers who helped make Arts Nights such a success. Thank you also to the HSA volunteers and the high school student volunteers who made the evenings possible. These are easily some of my favorite evenings of the year.
Last week we also held our Spring Lockdown drill. During the drill, I share over the intercom that we are practicing in the event that if there was ever any danger outside of the school building, we would work together in our classrooms to be safe in our rooms. Teachers talk students through the drill in an age appropriate way. Please reach out to your teacher or Ms. Mayhew () if you have any questions.
